State Testing Technical Troubleshooting for Students
Updated
Before the Day of Testing
Please make sure to power on your ORCA-issued Chromebook that you regularly use and connect it to the internet if you have not done so recently. If you do not have a Chromebook, you may request one for state testing or use a personal device to access the secure browser as described here.
On the Day of Testing
You may need to restart your ORCA Chromebook in order for it to enter testing mode. Once in testing mode, you will see the secure state testing browser and no other way to log in to your device normally for the remainder of the day.
If your ORCA Chromebook is still not in kiosk mode, please contact your proctor to confirm that you should be testing that day. If so, please have the proctor submit a Help Ticket requesting that testing mode be enabled for the device.
After Testing
If your ORCA Chromebook is still in kiosk mode the day after testing, please contact your proctor to confirm that you should no longer be testing that day. If so, please have the proctor submit a Help Ticket submit a Help Ticket requesting that testing mode be disabled for the device.
